Fellow Barnstormers,

I hope everyone got to see the Solar Eclipse. We were really lucky that there was very minimal cloud cover- not the norm for northern Ohio! This email is just to remind everyone of the club meeting this Saturday at 10 am.

The next scheduled club meeting is April 13^th at 10 am till 12 noon. Harry and Mary Anne Edwards have reserved a room for the club meeting at St. Andrew Catholic Church, 4022 Johnson Road, Norton, OH, 44203.

The club will provide coffee!

In case you haven’t noticed it’s 2024. That means it is time to renew your club dues for both the Doylestown Barnstormers RC Club and the AMA. The Barnstormer dues are still $75 for an individual membership and $87.50 for a family membership. You can pay using PayPal on the club website , Doylestown Barnstormers – Radio Controlled Aircraft, or send a check Payable to: The Doylestown Barnstormers RC Club, and addressed to Joe Semock, 232 Timber Trail, Medina, OH 44256. Joe has enough money, so make sure to make the check payable to the Club!

Other items.

The club now has FRIA status so there is no need to have the remote ID function on your aircraft  and drones when flying at the club field.

The FAA does require that you have UAS Registration on all your aircraft and drones. The cost is $5 and must be renewed every 3 years. The registration is per individual and the same registration number can be used on all your aircraft and drones. The FAA does send a reminder by email after your initial registration.  You can register at www.faadronezone.faa.gov

Buehlers is on Great Oaks Trail which is the first road on the left (west side), north of I76 on Route 94. Put another way; take the Route 94 (exit 9) going north. Great Oaks Trail is the first left.

Coffee and Pastries will be provided by the club.

The meeting is the election of club officers for  2024. This is an important meeting so please plan to attend.

If you are interested in running for any office, please attend and toss your name in the hat. We need and welcome more active participation.

Hello All DBRC members, 

It’s time for our quarterly club meeting.  This time we will be combining it with a planning meeting for the 2020 3D Spring Fling.The library was not available so we have booked the Community Room at Buehler’s in Wadsworth at 10 am. Its just north of 76 on 94 behind McDonald.s and Wendy’s. When you walk in the front door, to get to the community room turn right and follow the main aisle past the floral shop, restaurant and deli. its located between the deli and beer/wine. I’ve added a photo for reference. Please try to attend this meeting as we will be discussing this years event details with Mark and Patty. As always we ask that if you are in contact with anyone who does not have email please let them know. Thank you.
